Wise County received an AMBER Alert regarding a missing North Texas girl Athena Strand.
According to the police, Athena’s mother had been hunting for daughter since before six o’clock in the evening. She was last saw in Paradise around County Road 3573.
A young girl from Wise County who was last seen Wednesday night received an AMBER Alert on Thursday afternoon, according to the authorities.
All day Thursday, several law enforcement organizations were looking for 7-year-old Athena Strand. At 2:10 p.m., an AMBER Alert was issued, listing Strand as “endangered.”
“Law enforcement feels the child’s safety and health are in jeopardy,” according to Strand’s whereabouts, which are unknown.

Prior to 7 o’clock on Wednesday, according to the Wise County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO), Strand’s stepmother called. She claimed to have visited Strand’s room, but nobody was present. She contacted the sheriff’s office after spending approximately an hour trying to find her.
As of Thursday afternoon, about 2 p.m., the young child has not been located. According to authorities speaking to WFAA, the girl may have departed following a dispute with her parents.
Strand was last seen in Paradise, Wise County, near the 200 block of Country Road 3573.
Strand was last seen with a gray/black long sleeve shirt, blue trousers with flowers on the front pockets, and brown boots, according to the AMBER Alert.
Texas’ Department of Public Safety, the neighborhood Texas Ranger, WCSO, the Fort Worth Police Department, the Bridgeport Police Department, several local fire departments, Wise County EMS and Search Rescue One (K-9 assisted) are all contributing to the search.
